Swatantrya Veer Savarkar is a biopic on the life of freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.

The movie is the directorial debut of Randeep Hooda, who has also played the main character.

In a tweet, Hooda hinted the movie would rewrite the story of an overlooked hero from history.
