Bastar: The Naxal Story is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

The movie stars Adah Sharma, Shilpa Shukla, Yashpal Sharma, Subrat Dutta and Raima Sen.

The film takes inspiration from the ongoing Naxalite–Maoist conflict in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh.

Having grown up in Jalpaiguri, Sen is optimistic that his movie will raise greater awareness about the Naxal movement.
